How do I book a ride?
Scheduling your transportation is easy. Simply call or text us at (843) 855-9430, or complete the online booking form on our website. Our team will confirm your reservation, discuss any mobility or transportation needs, and make sure your ride is scheduled safely and on time.
How far in advance should I schedule my ride?
We recommend scheduling your transportation at least 48 hours in advance whenever possible. This allows us to reserve your preferred pickup time and ensure vehicle availability.
If you need transportation on shorter notice, please contact us directly. We will always do our best to accommodate urgent requests based on availability.

What is the difference between ambulatory, wheelchair, and Traversa transportation?
Ambulatory Transportation: For passengers who can safely walk on their own or with minimal assistance.
Wheelchair Transportation: For passengers who remain in their wheelchair throughout the trip using our ADA-accessible vehicle.
Traversa Transportation: For passengers who require additional support or a reclined position but do not require an ambulance. The Traversa chair provides a stretcher-like experience while allowing passengers to travel comfortably and safely in our wheelchair-accessible vehicle.
Do you offer stretcher transportation?
Yes. Comfort Transit offers Traversa chair transportation, a comfortable alternative for many passengers who need more support than a standard wheelchair but do not require emergency ambulance transportation.
The Traversa chair allows passengers to travel in a fully supported, reclining position similar to a stretcher while remaining safely secured in our wheelchair-accessible vehicle. This service is ideal for many post-surgical patients, individuals with limited mobility, hospice patients, and others who cannot comfortably remain seated in a standard wheelchair.

Do you offer wait-and-return service?
Yes. If your appointment requires transportation back home afterward, we can remain nearby and bring you back once your visit is complete. Simply let us know when scheduling your transportation so we can include wait time in your reservation.
Are rides shared with other passengers?
No. Comfort Transit provides private transportation. Every ride is dedicated to you and your companions, ensuring greater comfort, privacy, punctuality, and personalized service.
How much does transportation cost?
Transportation costs vary depending on the distance, destination, wait time, and the level of assistance required. We provide transparent pricing before every trip, so you will always know the cost before your ride is scheduled.
Do you accept insurance or Medicaid?
Comfort Transit is currently a private-pay transportation provider. If your healthcare provider, insurance company, or organization offers transportation reimbursement, we encourage you to contact them regarding your eligibility.
Can a family member or caregiver ride with me?
Yes. Family members and caregivers are welcome to accompany passengers at no additional charge, provided space is available. Please let us know when scheduling your transportation so we can accommodate everyone comfortably.
Will your driver help me get in and out of the vehicle?
Yes. Our drivers provide courteous mobility assistance to help passengers safely enter and exit the vehicle. However, for safety reasons, our drivers cannot provide medical care or manually lift passengers.
